Dytech Remote Backup
The Dytech Group is now offering a new Remote Backup Service, to
replace or supplement your existing tape backup:
Service provided – Online remote backup of your server or other computer. Nightly incremental backups are performed to keep the backup current. Files or folders can be remotely restored as needed.
What are the benefits? – Unattended automatic online backups are completed daily. You don’t have to change tapes or check backup logs – we do all that for you. There is no maintenance or replacement cost for tape drives, tapes or backup software. Because the backups are at another location there is built-in disaster recovery protection.
Who can receive this service? – To receive this daily backup service you will need to have a “full time” Internet connection such as DSL, T-1, Brighthouse/Road Runner, or other broadband connection.
What is the cost? – There is an initial account setup fee of $55.00 per server or computer. Plus the on-site setup fee. The monthly backup / storage charges are based on total disk space allocation. Here are the monthly and annual plans:
- Offsite backup for disaster protection
- Logs checked daily by Dytech Group
- Backup error notification
- No tapes or drives to buy
- 448-bit encryption for security
